RECIPE OF THE MONTH @ CLANREE HOTEL

Hello everyone. Our Head Chef is introducing the recipe of the month and would like to share it with everyone. Enjoy!

Thai Spiced Vegetable Egg Noodle Salad

Ingredients:

3 peppers ( 1 red, 1 yellow, 1 green)

1 onion

2 cloves garlic

1/2 courgettes

1/2 aubergine

4-6 mushrooms

50g of egg noodles

50 ml soy sauce

5 ml sesame oil

5 g of ground ginger

5 ml sweet chilli sauce

Garnish: 2 lime wedges & 5 g of toasted sesame seeds

METHOD

Cut all your vegetables into bitesize pieces then start cooking your courgette, onion and garlic in the sesame oil for 2-3 minutes then add the mushrooms, aubergine and peppers, cook for another 2-3 minutes then add the gingerm soy sauce and the sweet chilli sauce.

Boil the noodles in salted water with a drop of sesame oil for 2-3 minutes. Drai and add the noodles to the vegeatable mixture, mix well and correct the seasoning if necessary. Garnish with a lime wedge and some taosted sesame seeds.

Can be served warm or cold.

KICKBOXING NIGHT RETURNS AT CLANREE HOTEL LETTERKENNY

After a successful night last year kickboxing returns to Clanree Hotel Letterkenny for a new showcase of local talent on Saturday 4th June 2011.
Doors open @ 5pm. First fight starts at 6pm.

Kickboxing is a sport which combines both martial arts and boxing, adding together kicking techniques from martial arts and punching from boxing.  It is relatively new compared to other forms of martial arts having only started in the 1970’s.    Competitive kickboxing can be semi, light or full contact and requires the following safety gear to be worn:

Kickboxing is an excellent sport for improving your general fitness levels and has the added benefits of improving your self confidence and self defence skills.  It is also a great way to reduce your stress levels!

Come along for a night full of adrenaline to watch kickboxing rising stars and upcoming kickboxers. Tickets available now €40.
